Matilda: The Musical

Year 6 pupils put on an all-singing, all-dancing performance of Matilda: The Musical based on the book by Roald Dahl.

Pupils performed in the Senior School Performing Arts Centre, complete with dramatic lighting and sound effects. We were blown away with all the amazing hard work, enthusiasm and passion our pupils put into such an ambitious project.

Year 6 pupils performing Matilda: The Musical at Embley, a private school in Hampshire

Year 6’s talents bought to life a school-full of bright and colourful characters as they whisked us away to the terrifying Crunchem Hall. Miss Trunchball (Kittie) gave us the hardest PE lesson of the year, whilst Miss Honey (Harriet) taught us the true meaning of kindness. We loved seeing Matilda’s (Georgia) magical journey unfold as her sharp mind and vivid imagination encourages her to take a stand and change her destiny. Remember – sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty!

Congratulations and well done to everyone who made Embley’s production of Matilda possible. It was wonderful to see our pupils make such unforgettable memories together and demonstrate their talents on the stage. What an outstanding show!
