Visiting Embley

Our open events are designed to show you our school in the most authentic way possible – through our wonderful children and passionate staff. Come and learn how we make the Embley experience - and the possibilities it produces - incredible for girls and boys, day and boarding pupils alike.   

Senior School Open Evening - Thursday 26 September 2024 (17:30-19:30)

• Enjoy a hands-on experience of Embley where your child can get involved in experiments, performances and activities
• Find out more about the subjects your child is interested in.
• Our Heads of Department, ably assisted by students, will show you how learning takes many forms at Embley.
• Get all your questions answered; our Headmaster, Deputy Heads, Director of Studies, Heads of Year, Director of Sport and the Admissions Team will be available all evening.

Please note that the Headmaster does not provide a formal presentation at this event – for this, please book to attend one of our open mornings.

Sixth Form Open Evening - Wednesday 9 October 2024 (17:30-19:30)

Gain a real sense of life in the Sixth Form by hearing from the people that make it. The evening includes:

• Talks from our Directors of Sixth Form about academic focus and tailored coaching and mentoring support.
• Tours of our Sixth Form facilities by students.
• Panel discussions with current students about Sixth Form life and preparing for university. 
• Opportunities to talk to our Heads of Department about specific subjects and combinations of subjects based on interests, academic strength, university options and career pathways.

Prep & Senior School Open Mornings - Thursday 17 October & Wednesday 20 November 2024 (09:00-12:30)

Experience Embley in action on a typical school day. 

• Hear from our Headmaster and/or Head of Prep School.
• Step inside lessons and explore our school site with an Embley pupil as your guide.
• Visit our Senior School & Sixth Form Boarding House and meet our Heads of Boarding.
• Ask lots of questions to our pupils and staff. 

You can choose between a booking for the Prep School (Nursery – Year 6) or Senior School (Year 7 – Sixth Form). If you would like to visit other parts of our school during your visit, e.g. the Senior School if you are booked on to a Prep School event, please contact our Admissions Team.
