Teacher of Food Preparation and Nutrition

Early Years Practitioner

The Early Years Practitioner will be dedicated in their approach to the care, development and early 
education of young children.
 
The Nursery team is well qualified and dedicated, with a positive approach to learning and a 
commitment to the provision of high-quality childcare.

Maintenance Operative

The school’s estate comprises of a number of buildings ranging from Grade II listed to more recent constructions, all sitting within 130 acres of Grade II listed parkland. 

The Maintenance Operative is an integral member of the Maintenance Team. The core purpose of the team is to ensure that the fabric of the school and grounds is both maintained and improved to a high standard thereby positively adding to the overall impression of the school for staff, parents, pupils and visitors alike. The actual tasks will be varied and include day-to-day reactive repairs, planned maintenance, event set-up and operation of the swimming pool.

The Maintenance Operative will be hardworking with an attention to detail. Ideally, they will be a competent tradesperson and experience in carpentry or plumbing work would be desirable with the ability to demonstrate knowledge of all other trades. A willingness to learn is essential, as is the ability to respond readily to changing priorities.

Morning Housekeeper/Cleaner

The core purpose of the housekeeping team is to ensure that the fabric, fittings and furniture of the inside of the school are cleaned to a high standard, thereby positively adding to the overall impression of the school for staff, parents, pupils and visitors alike. As part of the housekeeping team the successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for implementing this within their allocated area and helping other team members as required.

The successful candidate will be hardworking with an attention to detail. They will be able to maintain good humour and a positive attitude while working under pressure.

The key working relationship will be with other members of the housekeeping team and the Head Housekeeper. However, the job holder may have a day to day working relationship with all school departments.

Located in the heart of the English countryside and on the edge of the New Forest, Embley is within easy reach of cities including Winchester, Southampton and Salisbury.

Southampton Central and Southampton Parkway have fast train connections to London. From Romsey, there is a direct line to the West country passing through Salisbury, Bath and Bristol to Cardiff, and Southampton and Portsmouth to the East. Embley is easily accessible by road, being five minutes from the M27 at Junction 2.
