We have nearly 200 staff working at Embley across a range of teaching and operational departments, with a strong emphasis on continuing personal development. Training is delivered at Inset days and twilight sessions across the academic year with a programme covering the latest developments in teaching, sharing of best practice and insights from visiting educational experts, including Winchester and Southampton universities and TES.

Staff work collaboratively and observe each other regularly, with professional conversations to support development. This not only ensures our continuous focus on high quality teaching and learning but reinforces our mutually supportive professional relationships at Embley. Subject specific training is also encouraged to ensure staff have the latest knowledge of their curricula and specifications.

Teacher of Geography

Are you a dynamic Geography teacher ready to inspire the next generation? We are looking for a motivated and innovative Teacher of Geography to teach up to A Level.

Early Years Practitioner- Maternity Cover

The Early Years Practitioner will be dedicated in their approach to the care, development and early education of young children.   

The Nursery team is well qualified and dedicated, with a positive approach to learning and a commitment to the provision of high-quality childcare.   

Our stunning grounds are well utilised by our EYFS children giving them a space to grow and develop in beautiful surroundings. We set ourselves the highest standards in everything that we do, to ensure that the children are happy, confident and secure so they can grow and learn at an individual pace.

Head of Learning Support (SENCO)

We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team and lead the way in championing exceptional support for every learner. This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate professional who believes deeply in inclusive education and is driven by the joy of helping every pupil flourish.

This thriving department is based in a dedicated learning space and pupils come to the department for their Learning Support lessons. We teach pupils one-to-one, thoughtfully adapting to each learner’s needs. Pupils attend before-school sessions, at breaks and lunchtimes, after school and during private study periods or in place of other lessons that they may have dropped – creating a flexible, responsive environment where support is always within reach.

Forward-thinking, pupil-centred and endlessly encouraging, our department is committed to helping every young person overcome barriers, discover their strengths and realise their full potential.

Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Start date: April 2026 (however, a September start will be considered for the right candidate)

Located in the heart of the English countryside and on the edge of the New Forest, Embley is within easy reach of cities including Winchester, Southampton and Salisbury.

Southampton Central and Southampton Parkway have fast train connections to London. From Romsey, there is a direct line to the West country passing through Salisbury, Bath and Bristol to Cardiff, and Southampton and Portsmouth to the East. Embley is easily accessible by road, being five minutes from the M27 at Junction 2.
