Peripatetic Woodwind Teacher (self-employed)

We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring individual to teach clarinet and saxophone to students in our Senior and Preparatory School on a self-employed basis. The position is term time only, currently with 3.5 hours of teaching per week which could increase in future.

The Peripatetic Teacher will join our Music Department in the provision of individual instrument lessons, encouraging our pupils to foster a passion for their instrument, giving supportive and challenging tuition as well as strategies for independent practice. 

The role will also involve contributing to the wider musical life of the School through recruitment of students and involvement with ensembles, concerts and other performances as required.

Head of Hockey

Sport forms an integral part of life at Embley and our programme is expanding. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about hockey and has experience of leading hockey within an educational setting, or coaching hockey to a high standard. The Head of Hockey will be a creative and inspiring individual. As an excellent communicator, influencer and team player, they will be willing to take on new challenges with the freedom to explore new initiatives to benefit our pupils, as they shape and grow hockey across our whole school.

The Head of Hockey will be a key part of our Sport Department and academic PE team. Sharing our commitment to high standards of professionalism and academic achievement, they will have the drive and energy to inspire and support our pupils, and to go the extra mile to help them achieve their personal best.

Local area and transport links to Embley

Located in the heart of the English countryside and on the edge of the New Forest, Embley is within easy reach of cities including Winchester, Southampton and Salisbury.

Southampton Central and Southampton Parkway have fast train connections to London. From Romsey, there is a direct line to the West country passing through Salisbury, Bath and Bristol to Cardiff, and Southampton and Portsmouth to the East. Embley is easily accessible by road, being five minutes from the M27 at Junction 2.
