Teacher of Design & Technology/ 3D Design

The Teacher of Design & Technology/ 3D Design will be a professional with a specialism in resistant materials to exploit the potential of our large well equipped workshops and studios in order to promote pupils’ engagement with the subject both within the curriculum and beyond.  

Many of our students aspire to pursuing careers and further education pathways within the design industries, and part of the role will be to support them in achieving their goals.  The successful applicant therefore will have the ability to inspire and support pupils to achieve their best throughout KS3 through to GCSE and A Level.

Transport Manager

The Embley Transport Manager is responsible for the school’s extensive in-house minibus fleet, which transports over 350 pupils to and from school across 27 routes.

The post holder will ensure that drivers and vehicles are available to fulfil the daily routes as well as provide support to activities within the school, such as trips and match fixtures.

The post holder will be the primary point of contact for parents, staff and members of the public regarding the transport service. Therefore, they must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

This is an extremely busy role that delivers a pivotal service. The successful candidate will be organised, give attention to detail and be able to stay calm and professional under pressure.

The minibus routes are mainly run in-house with our own minibuses and Embley employed drivers. We are looking for a confident team leader who can demonstrate the skills required to manage a large permanent team alongside some contractors and relief drivers.

Sports Coach

The Visiting Sports Coach role at Embley is an opportunity for someone who genuinely loves developing young people through sport and wants to be part of a warm, ambitious school community. 

You’ll play a meaningful part in shaping pupils’ confidence, skills and enjoyment across a wide age range, bringing your own coaching expertise and passion for excellence into every session. 

With access to quality facilities and a supportive Director of Sport, you’ll have the freedom to deliver engaging, safe and inspiring coaching that helps every student feel seen, challenged and encouraged.

This role is for a 12-month fixed-term contract. 8 hours per week. 3 hours on a Wednesday and 5 hours on a Saturday.

Local area and transport links to Embley

Located in the heart of the English countryside and on the edge of the New Forest, Embley is within easy reach of cities including Winchester, Southampton and Salisbury.

Southampton Central and Southampton Parkway have fast train connections to London. From Romsey, there is a direct line to the West country passing through Salisbury, Bath and Bristol to Cardiff, and Southampton and Portsmouth to the East. Embley is easily accessible by road, being five minutes from the M27 at Junction 2.
