Preparing for Prep School

From the day your child joins our Nursery & Pre-School, they will start preparing for school. They will be ahead in their learning skills and familiar with our learning environment and staff, enabling a smooth and seamless transition to our Reception class.We are in a unique position in that our Reception class is only a few steps away from our Early Years Department, in the same building. So, by the time your child starts their new learning adventure at Prep, they will already feel part of our whole school community. They will have built close relationships with their peers, their new class teacher and our Prep subject specialist teachers; be used to joining in whole school activities and assemblies; and they will be familiar with our different learning spaces and having lunch each day in our dining hall.  
 
We’re also mindful that some children will move from a different pre-school setting to our Reception class, and these children are equally well prepared to start with us.
