Rotary Club STEM Technology Tournament

Students in Year 9 and 10 recently represented Embley at the Rotary Club STEM Technology Tournament. The competition is designed to make STEM learning practical, enjoyable and relevant to real-world problems.

The exciting STEM competition challenged students to design and build a remotely controlled device capable of clearing a blocked oil pipeline. Teams had to work together under time pressure to apply their design technology and electrical engineering skills to create a practical solution. Students were also assessed on their teamwork, leadership and decision-making as they collaborated to plan, build and test their devices.

Congratulations to our students who demonstrated their outstanding creativity, problem-solving and engineering skills to secure first place in both the Foundation and Intermediate categories.
