Prep reading challenges

During the Christmas holidays, Embley Prep pupils took part in a series of exciting, teacher-set reading challenges. These included building cosy reading dens, finding stories with Christmas scenes, reading books published before they were born and reading aloud to someone - or even a pet!

We also saw the return of our ever-popular 'Reading in Unusual Places' challenge and were delighted by the creativity on display. Entries ranged from aircrafts, paddle boarding and reading in the snow. Congratulations to Primmy for her winning entry at the gym, perfectly demonstrating the importance of exercising both mind and body. A special mention also to Matilda (Year 2) and Alexandria (Year 4) who read the most books over the holidays. Well done to all our enthusiastic readers!
