Our thoughts are with the children, families and staff of Moyles Court school following the announcement that the school is closing. Moyles Court has long been valued for its focus on helping each child achieve their full potential in a nurturing family-like environment and these are principles we share at Embley.
We are an independent day and boarding school for children aged 2 to 18 set in 130 acres of countryside on the edge of Romsey. All our facilities are on site. Our Nursery and Prep School has its own purpose built environment, with a seamless transition to our Senior School and Sixth Form, making it ideal for families with children at different stages in their education. Come and visit
We can arrange a visit during the Easter holidays where you can meet our Admissions team and see our school site or you may prefer to come and see learning in action on a typical school day when we return for the Summer term. We also appreciate how important it is for children to share their learning experiences with friends. You can arrange an individual visit at a time convenient to you or we are offering small group tours for Moyles Court families on Friday 24 April from 9.00am to 10.30am.

Arrange a taster day
Our taster days provide an opportunity for children to experience the curiosity and creativity that thrives within our classrooms and beyond. We can arrange a taster day at our Prep or Senior School throughout May and June. Each taster is tailored to your child's interests, allowing them to explore the subjects they most enjoy. On arrival, your child will be welcomed by our teachers and a dedicated pupil buddy from their year group, who will guide them through the day - accompanying them to lessons and looking after them at break and lunchtime.
Seamless transition
We have extensive experience of supporting families who are considering a move outside the usual entry points or mid-academic year. In the last year, we have had new pupils joining every year group. We recognise that every child and family's circumstances are unique and this is recognised in our personalised approach to admissions and onboarding.
From their first day, your child will be supported by a dedicated buddy to help them navigate the school day and begin building new friendships. Our teachers and tutors work closely with parents to ensure each child settles quickly and happily into life at Embley.
GCSE choices
If your child is currently in Year 9 and starting their GCSEs in September or if they are mid-way through their GCSE programme, our team is able to guide you through choices and the transition. Our students study five core GCSEs (English Language and Literature, Maths and Double Science) and they choose a further four options – with 15 subjects to choose from. School transport
We operate an extensive transport system which provides a safe and environmentally friendly way for your child to travel to school from Reception age in Prep to Sixth Form. Our flexible booking system allows you to book by journey each week tailored to your family's needs. We have over 20 routes across Hampshire and Wiltshire, with stops across the New Forest including Ringwood, Lymington, Downton, Fordingbridge, Landford, Brockenhurst, New Milton and Lymington.
