Green Power F24 car races at Aintree

Embley Gryphons travelled to Aintree Motor Circuit to compete in their second Green Power F24 event and awarded 'Best Presented Team'.

Below is an account by Haroon, Year 11.

'Against a strong field of schools from across the country, our team delivered a strong and competitive performance on track. Over the course of the day, we competed in two 90-minute endurance races, carefully managing strategy, driver changes and battery performance. Thanks to the hard work of our team, we consistently matched our targets and ran strongly in both sessions.

Our efforts were rewarded with a 10th place overall finish, a fantastic achievement given the quality of the field and mechanical issues faced in both races. We were also able to set the pace consistently across the day and we are also proud to be awarded the 'Best Presented Team' award, reflecting the standard of our car preparation, teamwork, and professional approach throughout the day.

The team is incredibly proud to have seen their hard work pay off from over the course of the season, coming from the back of the grid at Castle Combe last year.

This event marks a huge step forward for our team and highlights the talent and commitment of our students. We would like to thank our sponsors, Forelle Estates, Moores Prime, Groundsure and ANSYS, along with our incredible staff, whose support has made this success possible.'
