Grease is the word

Our talented band, cast and crew put on a spectacular run of performances of Grease at the Theatre Royal Winchester with six performances to an audience of over 1000. There were 100 students involved from acting and singing to lighting operation and prop making.

The pit band lifted the roof of the theatre with renditions of all the famous songs from ‘Grease Lightning’ to ‘Summer Nights’. The show was a stunning, visual spectacle thanks to our amazing backstage team who designed and constructed the creative props, operated lights and provided vital backstage support to ensure the show ran smoothly. Thanks also goes to our Embley Parents Association who funded industry standard microphones that helped whisk the audience back to the 1950s.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to such a phenomenal show. Students’ talents, dedication and commitment truly shone through in their outstanding performances across the week.
