GCSE results 2026

We are incredibly proud of our students who are celebrating an exceptional set of GCSE results. Not only have they achieved impressive grades, but they have outperformed their predicated outcomes.

Standout achievements this year include exceptional results in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French and Religious Studies, with 66% of Mathematics grades and 65% of grades in the other subjects awarded at grade 7 and above (A*-A).

  • 97% of students achieved GCSE grade 4 and above (A*-C)
  • 72% of grades were grade 6 and above (A*-B)
  • 47% of all grades were grade 7 and above (A*-A)

While these headline results provide a measure of attainment for the whole cohort, they are only part of the story. Behind every grade sits a journey of personal achievement.

Most students achieved results beyond those predicted grades when they joined the school, demonstrating the progress the have made during their time at Embley. On average:

  • every student achieved a whole grade higher than their baseline predictions in Mathematics, Computer Science, Drama, French and Physical Education, and
  • more than half of all students achieved at least one grade above their baseline predictions across English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Science, Art, Geography and Photography.

These results demonstrate not only academic excellence but the value that an Embley education provides to children.

These excellent results reflect far more than exam performance. They demonstrate the ambition and dedication shown by every student, supported by teachers who know them well and challenge them to achieve beyond what they believe possible. While the headline figures are impressive, what excites us most is the progress our students have made. Every student’s journey is unique and seeing so many young people outperform their baseline perditions is a powerful endorsement of the expertise and dedication of our teachers and our approach to teaching and learning.
