Embley launches Flying Club | Latest News | Embley School, Hampshire

This year, we launched the Embley Flying Club in collaboration with British Young Pilots (BYP).Students have a weekly lesson, led by flying instructor John Tobin who has over 40 years of aviation industry experience, where they develop their flying skills with a simulator as well as theoretical knowledge covering everything from physics and meteorology to navigation and engineering. Each half term, students have the opportunity to fly a real aircraft and put their skills to test. They can progress through the BYP syllabus and pass their civilian flying test and exams - so it’s possible to leave Embley with A Level and a private pilot’s licence.
