Discovering nature at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens
Nursery and Pre-School visited the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens as part of the ongoing development of their communication and language skills.
The children went on a spectacular adventure exploring the colours, sights and sounds of nature, discovering worms in the wormery and creating caterpillar artwork using scented leaves and flowers. They then explored the meadow using large nets and viewing canisters to get a closer look at the different insects that live there, including a beautiful black and red moth.
To end the day, the children gathered with Stefan and his ukelele to make beautiful sounds in the music garden and create their own song about minibeasts. It was a fascinating day where our Nursery and Pre-School pupils had the chance to engage in new experiences and foster their love of the outdoors.
