We have recently welcomed a number of new boarders to the Boarding House and it is great to see them settling in well and eager to begin their Embley journeys. Our summer weekend activity programme is also well underway with boarders out exploring the local area. There was also lots of fun, laughter and celebration at our Boarders' Summer Party which also featured the presentation of our annual Boarding Awards.
Congratulations to Year 10 student Jack who was awarded the Prefects' Boarder of the Year Award. Presented by current Boarding House Prefect, Katrina, the award recognised Jack's positive contribution to the Boarding House since he arrived four years ago.
The Boarding Staff Boarder of the Year Award was presented to Pia, who has made a remarkable impact on the boarding community in just a short time. Head of Boarding, Mr McCredie commented; "Pia has been a true light within the House and a beacon of positivity for those around her. She will be sorely missed by staff and boarders alike when she completes her studies later this month, and we wish her every success and happiness in the future."
The event was a wonderful way to celebrate and thank all our boarders for their contribution to the Boarding House; their energy, kindness and sense of community truly makes Embley the special place that it is.
