Academic exploration in Cambridge

A group of Year 12 students were invited to spend a day at Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge, to gain first-hand experience of life in a highly academic university environment.

The visit included an introduction to Cambridge and its college system, as well as an admissions workshop exploring how students can strengthen their university applications and develop meaningful extra-curricular interests. During a ‘Big Questions’ session, students were encouraged to think critically, engage with complex ideas and develop the discussion skills that are vital for university interviews. Students also enjoyed a tour of the college and a Q&A session with current undergraduates, which provided valuable insight into student life and encouraged them to think ambitiously about their future aspirations.
