A warm welcome to Boarding
It has been an extremely busy start to the school year and Boarding has been no exception. The children have settled into the Manor House well and are becoming familiar with the routines at Embley.
A team building activity proved to be a great ice-breaker, with new and seasoned boarders working together to complete a number of challenges. A fun-filled weekend of activities included a visit from a Wild Science reptile farm, a shopping trip to Southampton and a whole house bowling competition was a wonderful way to kick-start the new term.
Last weekend boarders enjoyed more adventures, with many of our boarders taking the opportunity to visit Winchester. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city with all its historical buildings, quirky shops and majestic Cathedral. On Sunday the boarders ventured to Moors Valley Country Park to take part in Go Ape, spending the afternoon swinging on ropes high up in the tree tops, full of adrenaline. They returned to Embley early evening where they had a chance to unwind and eat cake and celebrate another September birthday in the Boarding House.
