Prep Enrichment Week
Prep School enjoyed developing their entrepreneurial skills and learning how to take a business idea from concept to prototype as part of Enrichment Week.
Nursery to Year 3 have been learning about how to consider their customer and pitch an idea, as they designed the next toy craze. Year 4 to 6 developed their entrepreneurial skills in the ‘Green My City’ challenge, reflecting on their own skills and attributes to transform their own solution-focused ideas into reality.
Throughout the week, pupils have also been engaging in a range of environmental focus activities including making a Summer pledge, lunchtime litter picks and ‘make a change’ where pupils have been writing to Mr Canning or their local MP. Pupils from Year 3 to 5 went on a conservation trip to Lepe Beach to discover the creatures of the shoreline, explore more about the impact we have on the environment and take part in a litter pick.
Our form classes also created ‘Pay & Play’ games as part of a charity event. Our forward-thinking entrepreneur group was selling homemade items including jewellery, bookmarks, cakes and cookies, whilst each form class ran their own game stall from mystery box guessing games to splat the rat! Overall, pupils raised an outstanding £773.35 for Guide Dogs – the charity of their choice!
What better way to end the term than with a jam-packed schedule of activities and experiences to develop our pupils skills, challenge them to think more independently and consider how they can make a difference.
