First Lego League Competition

Pupils from Year 6 to 9 built their confidence, teamwork and problem-solving skills competing in the heats of the FIRST Lego League Challenge.Held at Beaulieu Motor Museum, the competition is part of a global STEM programme where pupils have the opportunity to apply their Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths skills to solve real-world problems. This year, Embley entered a Prep and Senior team who have been working hard to prepare during their Lego Robotics Club co-curricular sessions. Pupils gained real-world problem-solving experience as they built and programmed robots to navigate missions. The children were also challenged to present their innovation project to a panel of judges.

Congratulations to both teams, who each came away with a ‘Judge's Award’. Our Prep team was also awarded best up and coming team, whilst our Senior team won for great teamwork and upholding of the competition core values.
