Types of Boarding

Boarding is an integral part of life at Embley and we offer two different boarding options for students in Years 7 to 13 to meet the needs of our families. 

Full boarding

This provides a home-from-home environment in which our British and international boarders live together as one family, seven days a week. After a busy week of study, our boarders enjoy a weekend programme with the boarding family that is full of cultural, fun and exciting activities, trips and events.

Flexi boarding

This is a popular option for busy working families, students who are involved in school activities that require an early start and those who have a long journey to and from school. It is also very popular in the lead up to exams, when some of our students benefit from structured evenings and the supportive environment that our boarding family can offer in what can be very stressful times. Many of our flexi boarders love staying with us so much that they become full time boarders.
