We welcomed Jenny Muncaster, a Winchester-based artist and presenter, to Embley for our Year 8 artist in residence workshop, exploring pattern and colour.
Students created vibrant abstract art pieces during the workshop, building colourful layers as they discovered new techniques and fearlessly tested them out. They enjoyed discovering different ways to create effects from layering complimentary and contrasting colours to printing with everyday items like bubble wrap.
It was great to see students make brave creative decisions throughout the day, resulting in final pieces full of personality, bold colour choices and stunning pattern work. Our Year 8 students gained in confidence and creative courage through working with Jenny; what a brilliant experience!
