Year 6 pupils put on a brilliant performance in their production of ‘Pirates of the Curry Bean’.
Mr Anderson, Year 6 Teacher and Director of the production, said: “Year after year, I am amazed by the way children rise to the occasion of the ‘Year 6 Production’ and learn so many lines, directions, songs, dances and, for this production, accents! This year has been no exception. It has been a pleasure to work with this group of exceptional youngsters on this project and we have taken real joy in watching the performances of all of them grow over the term.”
Pirates of the Curry Bean follows the story of young twins Jack and Liza Periwinkle who yearn for adventure. After their initial joy at discovering a real-life treasure map, the infamous Redbeard and his pungent Pirates of the Curry Bean steal the map and kidnap their mother, beginning the race to rescue her, reclaim the map and find the treasure! Accompanied by their cat Fiddlesticks, they join a mad admiral and his crazy crew on a voyage of adventure that takes them from Old London Docks to the mysterious island of Lumbago in the sea of Sciatica! But would they be first to find the treasure chest, or was there a surprise awaiting them even better than gold?
A huge well done to all of Year 6 for their brilliant performances, and for all of the staff and volunteers involved in making it happen.
