Nursery

Beyond the classroom

whatever the weather, we always have fun adventures exploring the school’s grounds. Our 130 acres of parkland and woodland offer plenty of space for our children to spread their wings and develop a love of nature.

Children climb, explore and make mud pies. They grow vegetables, enjoy treasure hunts, go on minibeast safaris, climb trees, build dens, cook on an open fire and explore everything our wonderful environment has to offer.

Nursery field trips

We go on school trips in the local area as we continue to work alongside our community. We visit the local library once a month to build on our communication and language development. The MAST theatre gives opportunities to the children to explore other ways stories are told while developing their listening and attention skills. In the warmer terms we explore Victoria country park and Hillier’s where workshops are put on for the children to extend their physical development as well as their personal, social, and emotional skills.

“Wellies are de rigeur over here and they have plenty of time out and about.”
