We offer over 150 activities as part of our co-curriculum at Embley. Our co-curricular activities give students the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills, whilst uncovering new interests and nurturing talent. We not only want to build important life skills, but provide the space for children to develop intellectual curiosity, creativity and independent learning inside and outside of the classroom.
And now our co-curriculum has grown further with some new activities starting this Spring. These include: Shore-based Keelboat Day Skipper Training, United Nations Club, a Lower School Drama Company, Senior Dance Club, Rubik’s Cube Club and Contemporary Guitar Club.
We are also excited to launch a new taster course ahead of the full launch of our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) Army Section. Embley’s CCF will provide a disciplined organisation within school that is aligned to Embley’s core ethos and values and will offer students an enormous range of opportunities to develop personal responsibility, leadership, self-discipline and a sense of community. It will be administered by the Ministry of Defence and volunteer staff from Embley and cadets can join in Years 9 to 12.
This term has seen fantastic engagement with registration to our co-curricular activities at the highest ever level, and we’re looking forward to seeing the skills developed come to life.
