Hannah Wilson

Hannah is the Head of Secondary PGCE at the University of Buckingham and is passionate about recruiting and retaining teachers. Her MA research explores flexible teaching opportunities as a solution to our attraction and attrition issues as a teaching profession.

As a Specialist Leader in Education Hannah is committed to identifying and nurturing bright spots through coachingand CPD. She is a trainer for SLEs, a NCTL coach and facilitator for the NPQs. Hannah is Leadership Matters Associate, a Values-based Education Associate; a Mental Health in Schools Award steering group member; and a CCT councillor.

Hannah is also the co-founder of #WomenEd, a grassroots organisation that connects, develops and empowers aspiring & existing female leaders. She has facilitated training for Teach First, Teacher Leaders and coached leaders through the DfE’s Diversity & Equality Grants. Hannah is on a national diversity steering group & working with Ambition School Leadership on their new women only NPQH pathway. She has led 3 DFE funded Diversity and Equality leadership programmes to support women leaders and BAME leaders in their career progression. She co-founded an annual event called Diverse Educators.

Previously, Hannah joined GLF Schools as Headteacher after 10 years at the Harris Federation. She was the founding Executive Headteacher of Aureus School, Didcot’s first mixed secondary school which opened in September 2017 with Year 7s & Aureus Primary School which opened in September 2018 with Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & 2.
